Pre & Post Recreational Licence Course Training

We can teach you from the beginning how to prepare your boat and trailer prior to embarking on a trip.  We will accompany you to the boat ramp, go through pre -launching procedures and teach you the best way to launch.  At the completion of the trip to retrieve your boat back onto the trailer preparing it to tow home.  We can teach you how to back your trailer down the ramp both loaded and unloaded.    On water individual training in your boat which would include safe controlling, operation and reading the instruments, basic navigation and docking your boat beside a pontoon during different wind/tide situations.

Alternatively, we can teach you on our boat to operate the controls, drive the boat and perform some basic manoeuvres safely making it easier for you when you do your boat licence course on-water practical assessment.  These lessons are done in a licence training vessel currently in registered commercial survey supplied by us.   This course is suitable to those who have never driven a boat before and may be a little apprehensive about undertaking the Boat Licence Course unprepared.

These courses involve a half day (3 hours) tuition one to one or family group with a boat & trailer with one of our qualified trainers in various locations throughout South East Queensland.

Post-Licence Course advanced training:  After you have done your Boat Licence Course with us you may wish to increase your confidence and your ability to operate your own vessel at a more proficient level.  Further advanced training is available covering launching and retrieving your boat, docking your boat in limited space in varying weather/tide conditions, operating electrical instruments (eg. sounders, GPS and marine radio's),  basic coastal navigation and preparing/executing a trip plan.  This is a full day (6 hour) course of tuition consisting of practical one on one or family group with a boat & trailer by one of our qualified trainers.  This course is offered in various locations throughout South East Queensland, Sunshine Coast and Hervey Bay.
